Champlain, N.Y. — May 20 — Along with firefighters from other departments, members of the Champlain Fire District took part in the monthly Northern Battalion training session, continuing a regional initiative to improve emergency response skills. Crews had the chance to evaluate mutual aid coordination, communication protocols, equipment use, and fireground operations throughout the practice. In order to increase productivity and strengthen abilities frequently utilized during structure fires, rescues, and other crises, firefighters collaborated on realistic situations.

Before a real disaster happens, regular battalion training helps departments become familiar with nearby personnel, equipment, and operating procedures. According to department officials, the meeting enhanced interagency cooperation, fostered teamwork, and boosted operational readiness. In order to prepare firemen to serve communities in the northern Clinton County region, the continuous training program is still crucial.
