West Chazy, N.Y. — June 6 — The Northcountry International Fire School in Champlain used trucks 334 and 336 from the West Chazy Volunteer Fire Department to support firefighter students taking part in real burn training exercises.bStudents were able to work with knowledgeable instructors while practicing fireground procedures in a safe setting. Hose line deployment, firefighting tactics, communication, and incident coordination under practical circumstances were all covered by the participants.
Because it offers practical experience that cannot be duplicated in a classroom, live burn training is still a crucial component of firefighter education. According to department officials, the exercise supported the upcoming generation of firefighters getting ready for emergency response responsibilities while fostering skill development, teamwork, and operational readiness.
