Cape Coral, FL- A dog rescued from a canal near the 2900 block of SE 5th Ave. has been safely reunited with its owners after being brought in by the Cape Coral Fire Department.
Firefighters rescued the dog from the water and initially were unable to locate its owners. The animal was taken to the fire station for safety, where Lee County EMS crews treated a minor cut on its paw.
The dog was later turned over to its family after they were located, bringing a positive outcome to the incident.
