Members of the East Avon Fire Department conducted driver and pump operator recertification training on June 2nd, taking advantage of the good weather.

According to officials, the training gave junior members useful practical experience while also offering firefighters a chance to review crucial apparatus operation abilities. In addition to learning about various hydrant configurations frequently utilized during fireground operations, participants worked with a range of handlines and ground monitors.

Crews concentrated on optimizing water delivery capabilities at the hydrant and the attack lines during the exercise, strengthening strategies that support successful and efficient firefighting operations during crises.
