Enrique Elizalde became the newest probationary employee of the Carthage Fire Department on June 9.
According to officials, Elizalde is an American Army veteran who devoted his military career to serving and defending the country. After serving in the military, he has made the decision to carry on helping people by using the fire department to support the Carthage community.
