Coeymans Hollow, NY - Members of the Coeymans Hollow Volunteer Fire Corporation recently participated in their weekly drill night focused on first-in company operations and core firefighting skills.
Training included establishing a hydrant water supply and reviewing key steps required before delivering water to the engine. Members also practiced ladder operations for roof and window access, as well as emergency placement for firefighter escape scenarios.
Crews later operated handlines and the engine’s deck gun, while others gained experience working the pump panel. Officials said the drills are designed to maintain readiness and ensure crews are prepared for emergency response at all times, both locally and in mutual aid situations.
