Busy Weekend Includes Parade Detail, Festival, and 14 Incidents

Members of the Exeter Township Volunteer Fire Department handled emergency calls and community events throughout the region throughout the weekend of May 18.


According to officials, firemen participated in the Exeter Township Food Truck Festival and helped with the Armed Forces Day Parade in West Reading, engaging locals and supporting neighborhood events.


Over the course of the weekend, workers also responded to 14 emergency incidents. A car that collided with a garage in nearby Robeson Township was one of the calls.


The hectic weekend demonstrated the variety of roles firefighters play, from emergency response and public safety operations to community outreach and event support, according to department commanders.
