CHARLOTTE, ME. — May 26th — As part of the department's continuous training program, members of Charlotte Volunteer Fire & Rescue finished a refresher course in hazardous materials operations. Scott Luciano of Specialty Response Solutions led the workshop, which covered operational safety, response protocols, danger identification, and scene assessment. Firefighters who receive regular refresher training are better equipped to handle hazardous material events in a safe and efficient manner.

Members had the chance to examine best practices and improve teamwork during the evening. Jessica Sawyer, EMS Director and Firefighter, was acknowledged by the department for feeding participants during the training session.
