LINCOLNVILLE, ME — May 25th — Along with towns throughout, the Lincolnville Fire Department observed Memorial Day and paid tribute to those who lost their lives while serving their country. The purpose of the celebration is to honor those who gave their lives in defense of the country and to acknowledge the enduring effects of their service.

Memorial Day represents the ideals of responsibility, dedication, and public service for emergency services personnel. Residents were urged by department staff to honor fallen warriors and their families. The celebration also brought attention to Lincolnville's strong sense of community, as locals continue to pay tribute to and support those who have served their country.
