Barrow, GA - Barrow County Fire Department crews conducted a hands-on training exercise in a residential construction neighborhood, focusing on building construction and interior search operations.

Personnel reviewed structural features and walked through newly built homes to study layouts before transitioning into simulated zero-visibility scenarios using darkened SCBA masks. Crews practiced orientation, victim location, and hazard identification while maintaining spatial awareness through wall contact and navigation techniques.

The training reinforced critical search skills and enhanced firefighter readiness for operating in low-visibility, high-risk environments.
