Luke Petrovich, a firefighter and advanced emergency medical technician, was honored by the Keene Fire Department on June 2nd for successfully completing his probationary term.

Petrovich accomplished the milestone, according to officials, after completing the department's probationary process, which assesses new hires based on their abilities to carry out the responsibilities of an EMS provider and firefighter.

Petrovich received his permanent helmet shield from C-Shift members as part of the acknowledgement, which is a custom that signifies the successful conclusion of probation and complete admission into the department.
