Members of the Fairfield Fire Department attended the 41st Annual Bridgeport Area Retired Firefighters Memorial Mass on June 3rd. This ceremony honors firefighters who have lost their lives while performing their duties.

According to officials, the yearly event honors those who gave their lives while serving their communities by bringing together firefighters, retirees, relatives, and community supporters. The event is a long-standing custom in the Bridgeport area that honors and remembers fallen firemen.

Members of the department expressed gratitude to everyone who made the memorial ceremony possible and thanked Long Hill Volunteer Fire Company No. 1 for hosting the event.
