Clinton Firefighters Conducted Fire Boat Refresher Training

CLINTON, CT — May 9th — On the department's fireboat, a number of Clinton Volunteer Fire Department members participated in refresher training. Operating the vessel's fire pump system, navigating using onboard electronics, and familiarizing oneself with the location were the main topics of discussion.


Crews performed skills necessary for emergency response and maritime firefighting while reviewing nearby waterways. Members had the chance to reinforce safe boat handling practices and operational readiness during training. Frequent drills guarantee that firemen are ready for events on the water and help maintain skill with specialized equipment. The department's continuous dedication to readiness and efficient emergency response is reflected in the training.
