Ellijay, GA - Gilmer County Fire Rescue has successfully completed an intensive eight-day Rope Rescue Training program, with eight members working toward their RTR-1 National Certification.

Throughout the course, personnel dedicated countless hours to mastering knots, building and operating rope systems, and refining the technical skills required to perform safe and effective rescues in challenging environments.

This level of training strengthens confidence in equipment, teamwork, and individual capability—key elements in high-risk operations.
