Baltic Fire Adds Four New Members in Six Months

BALTIC, CT — June 6th — At a time when many departments are struggling with personnel and recruitment, Baltic Fire Engine Co. No. 1 announced that four new members had joined the department in the last six months, boosting its volunteer ranks.


According to department officials, volunteer fire squads in Connecticut are nonetheless dealing with rising demands while having fewer members and little outside assistance. The department has concentrated on enhancing its response skills and upholding dependable emergency services for the Town of Sprague in spite of these obstacles.


Additionally, the department has kept funding member growth and training. Two probationary members recently finished an EMT course, one member started a Q-Endorsement course for apparatus driver certification, and regular internal training sessions have been held.
