TROUP COUNTY, GA - The Troup County Fire Department is proud to announce the graduation of our two newest firefighters. Congratulations to Cameron Phillips and Luke Primavera, who graduated from Basic Firefighter training conducted by the Georgia Fire Academy in a ceremony at the Georgia Public Safety Training Center in May!
They both successfully completed the intensive, grueling 10-week program culminating in NPQ Firefighter 1 certification as well as NPQ Hazardous Materials Awareness and Operations. FF Cameron Phillips also made the Chief’s List for the class, which signifies a 90% academic average for the class.
“I am so proud of their accomplishments and the way they conducted themselves during the course to represent TCFD in a positive and professional way,” said Troup County Fire Chief Michael Strickland. “They worked hard and persevered for 10 weeks to complete the rigorous and demanding training.”
Both new firefighters have already been deployed in Troup County fire stations to serve the citizens and visitors of Troup County. Please join us in congratulating these new firefighters and thanking them for their service!
