Charlotte, FL - Charlotte County Fire & EMS personnel participated in a three-day regional hazardous materials training exercise in Fort Myers alongside teams from across Southwest Florida.


Crews trained in scenarios involving chemical, biological, radiological, and explosive hazards, focusing on hazard identification, scene mitigation, resource management, unified command, and interagency communication.


The training strengthened coordination with state and regional partners, ensuring an effective, unified response to complex hazardous materials incidents.
