NICHOLSON, GA — May 4th — In observance of International Firefighters' Day, Nicholson Area Fire Rescue joined fire departments worldwide in honoring the efforts made by firefighters to public safety. Every year, firefighters—both active and retired—are recognized for their contributions to the preservation of human life, property, and the environment. Additionally, it offers a chance to honor those who have died or been hurt while performing their duties.
