Waltham Fire Training division worked with new recruits before they head off to the MA State Fire Academy for 10 weeks of additional training. An abandoned house was used to get the experience of a house full of smoke. They were required to crawl up to a ‘kitchen’ fire on the third floor. The building was charged with artificial smoke leaving near zero visibility.
