Pooler, GA - Pooler Fire-Rescue responded to an animal rescue call involving a kitten trapped in the engine compartment of a vehicle.

Crews utilized a floor jack and hand tools to carefully remove sections of the plastic under the front bumper to gain access.

Once safely reached, the kitten was freed without injury. The kitten was then taken in by a bystander following the rescue.
