Citrus, FL - Citrus County Fire Rescue assisted alongside Citrus County Sheriff’s Office Animal Control after reports of kittens crying from dense brush along the Withlacoochee State Trail.

Responders located six young kittens hidden in heavy vegetation, with one trapped in thick vines. Captain Polizzi carefully navigated the brush and safely freed the kitten before it was turned over to Animal Control.

Thanks to the quick actions of concerned citizens and the coordinated response, all six kittens are now safe.
