Cheyenne Tipton was formally welcomed as an active fireman on May 18 at the Millvale Volunteer Fire Department's monthly business meeting.
According to officials, Tipton recently completed the Allegheny County Fire Academy's entry-level fire training program after serving as a junior firefighter. In addition, she is getting ready to graduate from Shaler Area High School.
