Alachua, FL - Personnel from Alachua County Fire Rescue Station 23 recently participated in a Battalion 6 EMS training exercise led by RLT Jesse Hearn. The drill centered on handling behavioral emergencies and combative patients, with crews practicing de-escalation strategies, safe patient restraint techniques, and the appropriate use of sedation. The training was designed to enhance responder safety and improve patient care during high-stress emergency situations.
