FREEHOLD, NJ — May 2nd — East Freehold Fire Company was requested to participate in a U.S. Marine Corps recruit training event at the East Freehold Park Showgrounds for the fourth time. The V-22 Osprey tiltrotor aircraft used in this year's exercise allowed participants to watch military aviation activities while participating in the training course. At the event, volunteer firefighters joined recruits and community partners.

East Freehold Fire Company was founded in 1967 and is still an all-volunteer brigade that serves the community. Additionally, the department used the occasion to promote volunteer opportunities and inspire locals to learn more about becoming firefighters.
