ALLENHURST, NJ — May 18th — On the first day of National EMS Week, which focused on education and training within the emergency services sector, Allenhurst Fire Department honored its EMS cadet program. The department recognized the dedication of Cadet Advisors EMTs Zach Coyne and Elizabeth Regn, as well as Captain Carla Ward and Lieutenant Trish McLoughlin, to mentoring junior members. Cadets have gained important information and expertise in emergency medical services thanks to their work.
The cadet program prepares participants for potential positions in public safety by giving them the chance to learn about emergency response, teamwork, and patient care. Cadets have made significant progress over the course of the year, according to department officials, demonstrating the value of education, mentoring, and continuous training in producing the next generation of EMS professionals.
