Memorial Day Recognized by York Springs Firefighters

YORK SPRINGS, Pa. — May 25th — Members of York Springs Fire Company No. 1, situated at 312 Main Street, joined local communities in commemorating Memorial Day and paying tribute to those who served in the armed forces. Memorial Day honors the sacrifice made by departed service members and is a national day of commemoration. Veterans' organizations, first responders, and locals took part in celebrations and ceremonies honoring the anniversary around Adams County.


The celebration represents the common ideals of devotion, dedication, and commitment to others for the emergency services community. Throughout the holiday weekend, firefighters encouraged safe celebrations while remaining ready to respond to emergency calls. The day offered a chance to honor those who lost their lives while serving the country.
