FAIRFIELD, Pa. — May 25th — Wesley Chapel hosted a Memorial Day ceremony with members of the Fountaindale Volunteer Fire Department, which is located at 1340 Old Waynesboro Road. During the celebration, Dale Buffington, the department president, was the main speaker. Buffington discussed the value of honoring those who lost their lives while serving in the military while reflecting on his time in the US Navy from 1966 to 1970.

Veterans, first responders, and locals gathered throughout Pennsylvania for Memorial Day events to pay tribute to dead military members and remember their legacy. While honoring the sacrifices made by members of the armed forces, the Wesley Chapel ceremony carried on that tradition. The celebration offered a chance for introspection and commemoration throughout the community.
