Danbury, CT - Danbury firefighters conducted their monthly Drone Response Team training at the Fire School, continuing efforts to strengthen operational readiness following the team’s recent reorganization.

Under the leadership of Lieutenant James Gagliardo, members focused on flight operations utilizing multiple aircraft platforms, each equipped with specialized capabilities including thermal imaging, high-powered zoom, and real-time aerial observation. These tools provide critical support during incidents such as missing persons searches, marine operations, and fireground assessments.

Crews also completed routine maintenance and equipment checks to ensure all systems remain mission-ready. Future training will expand into night operations, further enhancing the team’s ability to operate effectively in low-light conditions and challenging environments.
