Shelton, CT - Shelton firefighters from Company 1 took advantage of a valuable training opportunity by utilizing an acquired structure to focus on roof operations.
Crews practiced key skills including roof access, ventilation techniques, and operating safely under realistic conditions. Training in acquired structures provides hands-on experience that closely mirrors real incidents, helping firefighters build confidence, coordination, and efficiency on the fireground.
Opportunities like this are essential in maintaining a high level of readiness and ensuring crews are prepared for the challenges of working on the roof during active fires.
Special thanks to Beacon Point for allowing the department to use the structure for this important training.
