Fall River Firefighters Prepare for Brush Fire Season with Targeted Training
Fall River, MA - Fall River firefighters are gearing up for the increased risk of brush fires by conducting cross-training operations with Brush 1.
As hot and dry conditions set in, vegetation becomes more susceptible to ignition, significantly raising the potential for fast-moving brush fires. To stay ahead of these seasonal challenges, members of Engine 6 focused on strengthening their skills and familiarity with brush firefighting apparatus and tactics.
Residents are reminded to exercise caution outdoors and avoid activities that could spark a fire, including improperly discarded cigarettes, unattended fire pits, and parking on dry grass.
Proactive training like this ensures crews are ready to respond quickly and effectively when brush fire incidents occur.
