Berlin Firefighters Advance Technical Rescue Skills with Rope Rescue Certification

Franklin, MA - Members of the Berlin Fire & EMS Department recently strengthened their technical rescue capabilities as Lieutenant Paulino and FF/EMT Cushman successfully completed the Rope Rescue Technician Course hosted by the Massachusetts Fire Academy.


The intensive program focused on advanced rope rescue operations, including anchoring, rigging, and victim extrication techniques in complex environments.


The skills and knowledge gained through this training enhance the department’s readiness and strengthen its ability to respond to high-risk rescue incidents, ensuring the community receives the highest level of service when it matters most.
