Lyme Fire Company Supports Mount Archer Trail Race

LYME, CONN. — May 3rd — In order to help guarantee the safety of participants and spectators during the second annual Lyme Mount Archer Trail Race, the Lyme Fire Company teamed up with the Lyme Ambulance Association to offer emergency coverage. Crews could react swiftly if necessary thanks to the strategic placement of fire and emergency medical services throughout the course. Additionally, the exercise gave responders a chance to improve coordination and communication while working in a community.


Through Lyme's R1 program, the agencies collaborate on a regular basis to respond to medical needs for advanced life support. The race ended without any serious injuries, according to officials, making for a great day of operational preparedness and community support. The event planners were also honored for their ongoing support of the fire and emergency medical services in the area.
