Avon Firefighters Connect with Community at Blazer’s Backyard Bash

Members of the Avon Volunteer Fire Department spent the evening interacting with locals and assisting with event activities at the Blazer's Backyard Bash on May 29.


According to officials, firefighters assisted in running the dunk tank, responded to inquiries from guests, and provided the public with a chance to learn more about the department. In addition, residents had the opportunity to connect with members outside of emergency situations, meet firemen, and study equipment.


Events like the Backyard Bash, according to department leaders, improve links with the community and offer worthwhile chances to interact with the people they serve.
