New Firefighters and Dispatcher Sworn In at Town Hall

WEST WARWICK, RI — May 10th — At a swearing-in ceremony at Town Hall, the West Warwick Fire Department welcomed three new members. Dispatcher Matt Dichristofaro, Firefighter Jon Skurka, and Firefighter Brian James all formally joined the department and started serving the West Warwick community. The event was a significant milestone in the department's ongoing efforts to improve its emergency response skills.


To guarantee prompt and efficient responses to crises, dispatchers and firefighters collaborate closely. While firefighters offer emergency medical care, rescue, and fire suppression, dispatchers are the initial point of contact for callers. The new members were congratulated by department officials, who also wished them a long, safe, and prosperous career serving the people of West Warwick.
