The Melrose Fire Department has recently placed into service a 2016 Pierce Freightliner commercial chassis as Engine 24. This apparatus is configured with a 1250 gpm Hale pump, a 1000-gallon water tank and a 30-gallon foam tank. Engine 24 has one front bumper preconnect jump line, two midship preconnect attack lines, a booster reel & deck gun mounted on top, along with one 2.5-inch attack line and 3 inch and 5-inch supply lines in the hosebed.
