Yarmouth, MA - A-Shift has begun the first of four training rotations on the new Ladder 1, concentrating on equipment familiarization, truck operations, and company responsibilities. The hands-on session is part of ongoing efforts to ensure members are fully prepared to operate safely and efficiently during emergency responses throughout the community.

The new Ladder 1 is expected to be a significant addition to the department’s capabilities. The initial training session marked a strong start as crews continue to build knowledge, confidence, and proficiency with the apparatus. All members involved performed well during the exercise.
