BANTAM, Conn. — May 17th — In honor of EMS Week, the Bantam Fire Company thanked volunteer EMS personnel for their ongoing community contribution. Volunteer EMS workers continue to play a significant role in emergency response operations throughout Connecticut, particularly in smaller towns and rural regions, according to department officials at 92 Doyle Rd. in Bantam. Every year, paramedics, EMTs, dispatchers, and other medical responders are honored nationally during EMS Week for their contributions to patient care and public safety.

In order to maintain emergency coverage and quick response capabilities, fire and EMS services around the state still mainly rely on volunteer staffing. During EMS Week 2026, the Bantam Fire Company expressed gratitude to all EMS professionals for their devotion, training, and ongoing hard work.
