WARREN, R.I. — May 2nd — After a long winter in Rhode Island, Marine 3 of the Warren Fire Department got out on the water to get ready for the 2026 boating season. The department, which is based at 1 Joyce St. in Warren, provides year-round training for marine emergencies involving commercial vessels, recreational boats, and water rescue missions. Ongoing training, according to officials, helps maintain preparedness for occurrences, which usually increase during the warmer months.
In order to promote boating safety and emergency response activities along nearby waterways, the agency also collaborates closely with the Warren Harbormaster. In coastal communities, marine units frequently support waterborne search and rescue efforts as well as fire suppression. According to the Warren Fire Department, Marine 3 and its staff are ready to assist with safe boating operations.
