Berlin Fire Department Completes Inspection of New Engine 2

After more than two and a half years of planning and manufacture, the Berlin Fire and EMS Department announced on May 15th that the final inspections for its new Engine 2 were finished.


According to officials, the equipment, which will replace the department's 22-year-old Engine 3, just underwent its final inspection by Chief McQuillen, Captain Alessi, and Lieutenant Paulino. For more over 20 years, the departing engine has provided services to the Berlin community.


In the upcoming weeks, the new equipment is anticipated to go to Massachusetts for last-minute finishing touches before being delivered to the department. Additionally, officials expressed gratitude to Berliners for their unwavering support during the project.
