SANGERVILLE, ME — May 4th — Members of the Sangerville Fire Department acknowledged the ongoing commitment of nearby mutual aid organizations and local firefighters who frequently respond to crises in the area. Department representatives emphasized the collaboration and teamwork across agencies in the event of car accidents, wildland fires, medical emergencies, and structure fires.

In rural Maine, volunteer firemen frequently juggle emergency response responsibilities with full-time jobs, family obligations, and continuing education while yet being on call around-the-clock. Leaders in the fire department also recognized the psychological and physical difficulties that responders encounter during their careers. According to the department, maintaining trustworthy emergency services for Sangerville and the adjacent areas still depends on solid collaborations between nearby organizations.
