BROWNVILLE, Maine — May 2nd — One of Brownville Fire Rescue's yearly fundraising events, the Sportsman Auction and Dinner, brought together members of the community, supporters, and emergency personnel. In honor of Firefighter/EMT Kelsey Robinson, who is presently serving overseas with the U.S. Air Force, and other deployed military people, department members donned red shirts at the event.
The RED campaign, which stands for "Remember Everyone Deployed," was symbolized by the shirts. Strong support from sponsors, volunteers, funders, and local partners, according to officials, contributed to the event's success. Fundraising activities are frequently used by volunteer fire departments to help with equipment purchases, training opportunities, and year-round operational needs.
