Basking Ridge Mourns Loss of George M. Fichot

After more than 63 years of service to the department and community, Basking Ridge Fire Company No. 1 and EMS announced the death of life member George M. Fichot on May 14.
Throughout his decades of membership, Fichot held a number of leadership positions with the organization, including Treasurer, Fire Captain, President, and EMS Lieutenant, according to officials. His commitment, leadership, and enduring services to the fire department and the citizens it serves were acknowledged by the department.
During this trying time, members requested the community to remember the Fichot family and everyone who knew George.
