Holderness Fire-Rescue Trains with New Engine 2 on Hose Work and Drafting Operations

Holderness, NH - Members of Holderness Fire-Rescue conducted training exercises utilizing the department’s new Engine 2, focusing on hose advancement and fire attack operations. Crews practiced safe and effective hose line management for fire suppression scenarios.


Training also included drafting operations, where firefighters used pump systems to draw water from a nearby brook to supply the apparatus, simulating rural water supply conditions where hydrants are not available.


These hands-on evolutions are designed to strengthen teamwork, improve operational confidence, and reinforce essential skills needed for effective emergency response in the community.
