MORRIS PLAINS, NJ — April 26th — Every year, the Bergenfield Fire Training Center in Bergenfield hosted live fire training for members of the Morris Plains Fire Department and the Morris Plains Fire Association. All green tag members had to complete mandatory training that covered advancing hose lines, water delivery operations, and live fire and smoke circumstances. In controlled environments, firefighters practiced collaboration, communication, and suppression techniques while working through realistic fireground scenarios.
Annual live burn exercises, according to officials, assist members in maintaining certifications and enhancing operational readiness. Additionally, during simulated emergency situations, the training gave firemen practical experience managing fireground duties and operating equipment.
