FLANDERS, NJ — April 21st — Advisors active in Mount Olive cheerleading programs recently received CPR training from members of the Flanders Fire Co. #1 and Rescue Squad. The meeting was a component of the department's ongoing initiative to assist community public safety education. CPR techniques, emergency response fundamentals, and the use of automated external defibrillators, or AEDs, were all covered by EMS staff.
In order to get ready for any medical situations that can arise during school events and activities, participants also undertook practical exercises. Community CPR training, according to department officials, improves readiness and promotes prompt action during cardiac emergencies. The department, which has its headquarters at 27 Main St. in Flanders, frequently offers public safety training, EMS education, and outreach activities in the Mount Olive region.
