This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

Colrain, MA - Colrain Firefighters' Association members took part in a comprehensive wildland fire training session, focusing on the deployment and operation of their new UTV-mounted skid unit. Crews also practiced establishing a reliable water supply using a small brush pump to support remote firefighting operations.

Training emphasized coordinated fireground tactics, as members worked alongside junior firefighters to construct and strengthen fire lines, followed by overhaul operations to ensure complete extinguishment of hot spots.

The hands-on evolution provided valuable experience in both equipment use and team-based wildland suppression techniques.
