Corinth Fire Department Completes Annual Hose Testing

CORINTH, ME — May 8th — At the department's Main Street station, Corinth, Maine firefighters finished their yearly hose testing operations with help from CMHT Inc. In order to keep equipment in good operating order for emergency response operations, firefighters spent the day testing and inspecting fire hoses. Before equipment is deployed during incidents, hose testing is a routine component of department maintenance procedures that helps find leaks, wear, or damage.


Department personnel also assisted with setup, inspections, and equipment handling during the testing process. As departments get ready for seasonal surges in fire and emergency calls around the region, fire officials stated that routine equipment maintenance is crucial to firefighter safety and operational preparedness.
