Crews Sharpen Low-Angle Rescue Skills Through Hands-On Training

Beaver, PA - The Brighton Township Volunteer Fire Department conducted hands-on training focused on low-angle rescue operations, preparing firefighters for incidents involving challenging terrain such as embankments and wooded areas.


During the drill, crews practiced setting up various rigging systems, securing patients to backboards, and packaging victims into Stokes baskets for safe movement.


The training emphasized not only technical proficiency but also teamwork and communication essential to successful rescue operations.


Ongoing training ensures members remain ready to respond safely and effectively to complex rescue situations, reinforcing the department’s commitment to protecting the community.
