The Lakeville Hose Company No. 1's annual awards banquet, which honors members for years of leadership and devotion, took place on May 2.

Michael Brenner received a 50-year service award in 2026, Jacquie Rice a 35-year award, Chris Ohmen a 25-year award, Donielle Lorenzo a 20-year award, and Bob Chase a 10-year award.

In 2025, Don Reid Jr. received a 50-year award, Darin Reid received a 45-year award, Jason Wilson received a 35-year award, Marie Castagna received a 30-year award, and Bill Sherwood received a 20-year award.

Additionally, Bob Smith Jr. received recognition for his five years as the department's chief. In recognition of their contributions to the company, junior members were given presents and brand-new clothes. Officials also encouraged residents, including youth age 14 and older, to consider joining the department.
