On June 6th, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., the Sherman Volunteer Fire Department will hold an open house at the firehouse at 1 Route 39 North.

Live firefighter demonstrations, station tours, a "Touch a Truck" display, kid-friendly crafts, and free food and beverages are all part of this family-friendly event. In addition to learning more about department operations, community members will have the chance to interact with volunteers, firemen, and EMS professionals.

Residents who are interested in joining the agency and helping the Sherman neighborhood will also have access to information, according to officials.
